DESCRIPTION:Casowasco Camp Clean-up Week\nPlease note: This is a special event. To register\, please use our Google Form. \nCasowasco is preparing for re-opening April 1st\, but to get there we need to call on interested Casowasco volunteers! Come for a day\, a night or several days during the week of March 20-29\, that includes two weekends! We have free beds available for those who want to stay for more than a day. And we can arrange meals for registered participants at a nominal cost (Be the first to sample our chef’s culinary delights! Stay tuned for more information on this exciting new addition!) \nIndoor Clean-up includes: \n\nChanging linens in Galilee\nVacuuming\, mopping\, and shampooing floors\nCleaning bathrooms throughout the site (these have been unused for a year\, so they need a bit of added sparkle)\nGeneral dusting\nChanging light bulbs\nPainting (a few areas need attention\, particularly a cabinet in Bethany)\nThere might be some Kitchen inventory work\, TBD our chef\nDining set up and Kitchen clean up during Camp Clean-up Week\nOngoing filing in the office\nGot plumbing knowledge? There are a couple of fixtures that need attention\nGot tiling skills? Bethany bathrooms and Emmaus kitchen have a few broken tiles that need replacement\n\nOutdoor Clean-up includes \n\nWeeding and cleaning up gardens and lawns\n\nA Pollinator Garden with native plants will be added to the beautiful patio just off the parking lot near Galilee. If the weather allows there will be some concentrated work in that area. Including a visit from Janice Wiles from Go Native! They will be advising us on the garden.\n\nAre you interested in a pollinator garden at your church or home or replacing lawns with native plants? You will not want to miss this visit!\n\n\nChanging and/or troubleshooting the light bulbs along driveway and on road-side signs (some investigation may be needed to determine why these bulbs are out)\nClean up the road-side sign planter box\nAdding stair nonslip treads where needed\nRemoving brush from drainage along Casowasco Drive\nCutting up logs stacked in Mt. Tabor lot and wood splitting\nGot carpentry skills? There are some deck planks and railings that need replacement. There are a few areas under a couple of building eaves that could use some work\, and there are some animal holes that could use some blocking and deterrents.\nExterior Painting and Staining touch ups – if the weather allows\n\n\n\nTools and supplies \nWe can provide everything that is need for these jobs. Some supplies (paint\, tiles\, wood\, etc.). will need to be purchased so when you register please indicate what you want to work on so we can supply them appropriately. The camp has many tools\, but please indicate in your registration if there is a tool you will be bringing for the job. \nFor chain sawing\, we ask only for experienced operators and that you have the proper safety gear including protective helmet\, gloves\, and chaps. \nFor more information\, please call the Rev.
