Colin joined the staff in August of 2024 as the interim Site Director. In 2022 he retired as the senior pastor of the Walnut Creek United Methodist Church in Walnut Creek, California. Colin started his pastoral career here in the Upper New York Conference of the United Methodist Church and served a number of churches in Upper New York before being appointed as the Conference Coordinator of Youth and Camping Ministries of the California-Nevada Conference. Back in the day he served as a volunteer both at Casowasco and Camp Aldersgate. Colin is holds a B.A. from the University of the Pacific and a Master of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology. He is married to the Rev. Dr. Kathy Kerr-Carpenter and is the proud father of three daughters and doting grandpa to two of the most perfect grandchildren.
